petermartinmorgan Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Hi All, I have a 2008 C8 2.2HDi (173) and there is an air intake under the body (roughly under the front passenger seat). I hit it on some rough ground about a year ago and so it has sat a little low - but of no great concern. However, on Wednesday I hit a large puddle of water at speed and it seems to have ripped the plastic moulding so that it now faces the wrong way (i.e. towards the back of the car). I have temporarily managed to secure it free of the ground underneath using a bungee cord. Can anyone enlighten me as to what it is? - there is an (unbroken) electrical connection to it. Is it likely to be an expensive repair? Any words of wisdom gratefully received Thanks Peter Quote
paul.h Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Welcome to the forum. It might be a fuel cooler if it looks like this Citroen part 1579LN http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-807-EXPERT-3-CITROEN-C8-DISPATCH-FUEL-COOLER-GENUINE-1579LN-/141682541192?nma=true&si=nHGviuxweh6vVoldOGqyE0IpmM0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 If so there should be threaded studs (cage screw part number 840351 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-PEUGEOT-CITROEN-6-x-20mm-CAGED-BOLT-x-4-840351-/221131385032 ) clipped to the floor going through the middle and back of it with nuts on to hold it in place. There should also be 2 fuel return pipes to it. Quote
