rpsamme Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I have just purchased a 2003 C5 Exclusive and there is a problem with the passenger front seat. All the electrics work however when you sit in it the seat slides down and back about an inch and doesn't seem to lock. It is quite dangerous as if some one is sat in the seat and the car brakes the seat jers forward. Anyone had any similar issues or would know what the problem is? Quote
paul.h Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Welcome to the forum. Is the seat frame moving in the slides/runners that are fastened to the floor ? New parts are available for all the bits so if you can identify what is at fault then it should be possible to replace the faulty bit. I would think this would be a failure in the MOT test. Quote
rpsamme Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 It doesn't appear to be moving on the runners, and you can't move it when no one is sat in the seat. It only drops down and back a bit when someone sits in it, are there springs underneath? Quote
paul.h Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 You are probably best to look at the parts diagrams which is a free service if you register as another professional and a member of the Citroen Owners Club. Use your VIN (VIS) top left to find your car http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres Quote
rpsamme Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Thanks paul I did have a look, any idea what an Articulation Step - Down is? Got it booked in a garage on Tuesday any idea how long it will take to take seat out? Quote
