Hi looking at 09 2.0 hdi c5 with autobox.

I know it's important to replace fluids yearly.

How good r these boxes ?

What mpg might would u expect ?

Thanks in advance.

A sales brochure for a 2010 2.0 hdi 160 bhp engine gives mpg urban/extra urban/combined/CO2 for the manual and auto versions as

manual 41.5 / 64.2 / 53.3 / 139

auto 31.7 / 50.4 / 41.5 / 179

For a 2009 car the figures may be worse than this but you may find the info in a handbook for the correct year / engine power http://service.citroen.com/ddb/

The CO2 increase will affect the car tax quite a bit £130 vs £225.

I have never had an auto so can not comment on how good they are.

If you are thinking of using the car for towing, the auto has a lower maximum towing weight

- saloon  - manual 1740 kg, auto 1390 kg, towball max manual 70 kg, auto 57 kg.

- tourer - manual 1670 kg, auto 1290 kg, towball max manual 67 kg, auto 53 kg.
