lynnl Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 The central locking has always been fine on my 2001 C5 station wagon but a couple of days ago I went to open the boot using the button on the key and it opened all the doors except the boot. I can open it with a screwdriver but of course that isn't ideal. Any ideas anyone? Quote
paul.h Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Welcome to the forum. If the switch on the door is not working then possibilities can include a wiring problem such as between the door and body or the electrical connector to the switch is corroded or the switch internals are not making a good contact. You may need to remove the door inside trim to get to the switch to have a look and a quick try would be to connect a wire across its electrical connector- if this works then the switch needs replacing or cleaning internally, if not then it may be a wiring problem. If the switch and wiring are ok and there is a 12 volt supply to the switch and the earth wire from the switch is making a good earth, then the lock motor may be at fault. Quote
