Hi all, new to the site so be gentle with me. please, please, please can anyone tell me where the diesel priming pump on a '60 c3 picasso is. the owners book tells me that its under a cover on top of engine and once its removed it is there.well i have done that and i cannot see any type of priming bulb or the likes anywhere. Its only for my own future reference in case i run out of diesel. if it helps the engine code is SH9HPO.

Also any help on the fuel gauge as i have heard they are a bit unreliable, the question is if the fuel increments show half full and the tank is in theory empty will the fuel empty warning light still show.any help from you good people would be most grateful thanx gary.

Welcome to the forum.

If I have this right, your engine is a 1.6 hdi 92 bhp, engine code 9HP so DV6DTED.

If there is a hand priming pump (bulb) a bit like a small rugby ball, it will be somewhere near the fuel filter on a fuel line, however, Citroens procedures show on top of the fuel filter a button that is pushed to prime the filter. With the ball type it is repeatedly squeezed until it goes hard before starting the engine. Possibly the same is done with the button, pushing it repeatedly.

I can not help with the fuel gauge but we had a 2003 C3 and now a 2010 C3 and these gauges have not given any problem.
