Welcome to the forum.

First thing will be to look at the coil spring to see if it has broken - compare it with the one on the other side for the number of complete coils and also that a bit off one end has not broken off. Coil spring failure is common and depending on the age of your car a Citroen dealer may replace them for free, getting the cost back from Citroen. A 2003 car though is probably too old for a free replacement. If it has broken the spring on the other side should also be replaced so a matching pair is used and there will be coloured bands on the springs so you know which type was originally put on the car.

If not that then the next possibility could be the bearing at the top of the suspension strut.
