Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. I did a search to see if I could find the answer to my problem but couldn't see anything which really gave the answer.

My 2003 C5 just failed it's MOT due to a suspension fluid leak at the front by the drivers wheel. The MOT tester was helpful in that he described the offending part, but I'm still struggling with exactly which part it is!

He described it as a rubber block which is attached to the suspension ram, and has 2 pipes coming out of it which go off to join in to a metal pipe. He said there is a split in the block, but it only leaks a very small amount of oil when the engine is switched off and the suspension settles (he mentioned a return pipe?). I had a look by putting the suspension all the way up and turning the wheel, but I still can't really see, and even then I wouldn't know which part to search for online!

Does anyone know which part he is talking about, and what part it is so I can buy one? Need one by the weekend ideally because that is when the MOT runs out and it's retest is due!

Many thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

It is probably the leak back hose, Citroen part no. 95050399 but you should check this at your Citroen dealer when ordering (unlikely to have it in stock). You will also need the clip 96127591. It can be seen about half way down the strut and is held in place with a clip that goes round the strut. This part only has 1 hose coming out of it.  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-C5-Frt-Suspension-Leg-Leak-Off-Hose-clip-New-Gen-Cit-95050399-96127591-/172052890663

Paul.h thanks for the reply and for pointing me in the direction of that part. The MOT tester described it to me on the phone from his memory of looking at it on Saturday. Having seen the picture of the part you put up, I went out and looked at the car again (in between rain showers!) and it certainly appears that this is the part that is leaking!

Thanks for the quick reply!
