Cheers, first post.

I was unfortunate to get my back window broken. all of it.

I have to pay 6320NOK for a new one replaced by a company  (~800usd)

Anyone know if it could be wise to get a used window from a scrap yard and replace the window on my own?

any trouble i could run into?

hard to remove&replace?

The repair cost was pretty expensive i think.

Welcome to the forum.

It would be far easier and with less chance of breaking the glass if you replaced the complete hatch door with one the right colour from a scrap yard. I am sure this would still be a lot less than the cost you have given for the window on its own.

Hi, i agree with paul. My rear hatch was dented by drunks some years ago so i researched the options thoroughly. If you can find a scrapped hatch of the same colour that would be the easiest option, except that you would have to collect it, scrappies will not post it! There are lots of scrapped mk1s about (in the uk and europe at least). If you choose to remove the glass it is unlikey you will be able to reuse the seals. The glass is bonded to the frame. You will probably need the window fitting kit citroen sell. Even if you cant get a hatch the same colour, a cheap respray (before fitting) would probably turn out cheaper.
