Johnellis96 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Hi I've been recently having my eml coming on and when I got it read it said it was a 'high pressure diesel fault' the C3 I have is the 2004 1.4l exclusive hdi92.there was quite a big interval with the eml coming on but now it's more frequent, the light has recently been turning itself off as well as turning on. I have changed the fuel pressure regulator and that made the light stay off for two days and then the light came on whilst travelling to work. If anyone here has come across this issue before and has resolved it I would be very greatful. Quote
paul.h Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Welcome to the forum. What fault code did you get and do you have the pressure values from the freeze frame data when the fault code was generated ? If not the regulator then it could be the pressure sensor that is faulty. Quote
Johnellis96 Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 The fault codes I got was P0089, P0002, P1207, P1660A, P1163 Cylinder 2, 3 and 4 had injection times of 431us Cylinder 1 had an injection time between 490us and 510us Quote
paul.h Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Searches against these fault codes come up with a few things to check but it may not be any of these - wiring and connectors on the fuel system, worn fuel injector checked by a leak off test, fuel filter needing priming, fuel filter blocked needing replacing, fuel pump problem. Note that no 1 cylinder is at the gearbox end. Quote
paul.h Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Copied from another topic by Johnellis96: I got the fuel problem sorted. turns out that the injectors were knackered so i got that sorted but other than the issue with the mileage its all been fine thank you. Quote
