Hugo Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Ngk, Denso or Bosch Eurocarparts do all 3. The Demso ones go from around 3.49 to13.99 each??? Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 From your previous topic your car is a 2007 C4 automatic, but you have not said which engine. If you provide the engine info we can look at the Citroen parts diagrams. From the Haynes manual it gives: 1.4 litre ET3 engine Bosch VR8SE1.6 litre TU5 engine Bosch FR8ME or FR8SEO1.6 litre EP6 (vti) engine NGK PLZKBR7A-G or Beru 12ZR 6SP03.The 2 litre petrol engine is not covered by the Haynes manual. The latter ones are likely platinum electrodes for a long life and Beru ones will be supplied by a Citroen dealer and may well be a lower cost than from eurocarparts since 2 years ago for our C3 it was £34 for 4. You may be best to use the Citroen recommended ones to help the life of the ignition cassette, never mind what eurocarparts have in stock. Quote
Hugo Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 It's the 1.6 but not the vti engine I don't think Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 If not sure of which engine you have you may be best getting the plugs from a Citroen dealer using your VIN. You could also put the letters of your VIN on here since this includes the engine type or do an internet search on them. I have found that parts from a Citroen dealer are priced reasonably compared to such as eurocarparts but also I know they are the correct ones and will fit. Also if you use the dealer a lot they may give you a discount. Quote
Hugo Posted March 4, 2016 Author Posted March 4, 2016 I did just that. I also bought oil and air filters Citroen recommend 5 w 30 fully synthetic oil. Could I use semi synthetic? It's just that I have loads of it lol Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 You are best to use the recommended oil, especially since extended mileages up to 20k miles or 2 years if sooner are the normal service interval, depending on the engine. I do not suppose you will get anyone to recommend against what Citroen say. If the oil is the Total INEO ECS 5w30, it is quite reasonably priced through ebay, about £25 for 5 litres or maybe about £35 from a dealer. Quote
