karlloss69 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Hi.. I have noticed that sometimes my headlights dip so that the beam is only feet in front of the car. I can even put high beams on and that doesn't effect oncoming drivers. Any ideas what's causing this and what the fix might be?Cheers Quote
paul.h Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 If it only happens some of the time you need to see if the bulbs are correctly located and fastened in the lights and if the lights are securely fastened. If you have a level adjusting switch on the dash, see if this is working properly and its connector and wiring are ok. If it only happens when the car is heavily loaded then the suspension may need checking for weak or broken springs (look to see if the wheel arch top is nearer the top of the tyre when loaded and check the springs for broken or missing coils).
