Hi can any one help please the bulb as gone on the dash on the speedo and fuel gauge side, just wondering how to get the surround off and is difficult to change the bulb

The following is for the Xsara:

 

A quick look at the procedures on the Citroen service box suggest the lamp is replaced by removing the speedo unit but to do this the steering wheel needs removing, the steering column cowling needs removing, the radio needs removing, the centre console needs removing and then the dash surround parts which then reveal a single screw holding the speedo unit in place. However, I would see if you could get a hand up the back of the speedo unit to reach the bulb before doing any of this. Book time to replace the bulb is just over 1 hour.
