ESL57 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Looking for a rear N/S door from a mk 1 hatch LX in Storm Grey. Good clean item needed. If you have or see one, please let me know. Quote
paul.h Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Is the colour name right, we had a 2004 C5 and that was hurricane grey metallic ? Maybe you could post the colour paint code. If it helps, the rear left door on the mark 1 and 2 hatchback are the same part number 9006A0 but they are different to the estate. Quote
ESL57 Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Yes Paul, it comes up as Storm Grey on the Service Citroen site with my VIN. I have rust along the bottom of door where someone has scraped it and repaired.....badly. No point in spending on that door with paint etc, as it will never be right. If I can get a good door and bolt on, that will be better. So a mk 2 fits as well.......that is good. Most scrappy's wont post a door, as I have asked a few on Ebay. Quote
paul.h Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 If possible I would collect a door from a scrap yard then you can be sure of its condition, you do not want to be removing dents and painting if you can help it. The colour on a later car may be a problem, I have a C5 brochure for 2003 and for 2006 and storm grey is not listed. So you may end up having to get any old colour and painting it. Quote
ESL57 Posted May 16, 2016 Author Posted May 16, 2016 Thanks for your input Paul. Checking the door jamb, there is EYTC on the paint code. Car is 2002. This is my colour in first pic. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-C5-1-8-PETROL-COLOUR-EYTC-BREAKING-FOR-SPARES-STARTER-MOTOR-/331843584707?hash=item4d436b42c3:g:dFUAAOSwHnFVr5kx Don't want to paint a door as it will never be the same colour as the rest of body. I could cut rust out of this door, weld and repair. However the work and the cost of paint, plus never getting a match, mean it is hardly worthwhile. If you have a valuable car, then a spectrometer can be used to match older and faded paint. That would be beyond my budget here . Quote
