bdm Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Hi! I am a new member. I have a 1998 Xantia Activa in Australia. I have recently had trouble with my clutch and need a clutch kit (Part # 209548) - it's the hydraulic component of the clutch. Unfortunately Citroen no longer makes the part. This part is for a right hand drive car - the left hand drive version is different - the two versions are not symmetrical - so while I thought my monthly trips to Europe may give me the opportunity to find one on a shelf somewhere on the Continent, it now seems unlikely, although I have the feelers out in the Netherlands as well. I have approached dealers and breakers yards in the UK, but still have not had any success. Is any one able to point me in right direction, please? The Activa is such a brilliant vehicle, it would be a real shame to have to scrap it for the sake of a part of the clutch...... Any assistance gratefully received. Thank you. Bruce Quote
paul.h Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Welcome to the forum. In the parts diagrams it looks as if the master and slave cylinders come as a complete part (if you could get one). This used one on ebay may be right but it looks as if the slave cylinder has been cut off but you would need to check with the seller and that it is the right part. Also check if it is in good condition. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-Xantia-1998-2-0-8v-HDi-Clutch-Master-/331884641974?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368 In the future I will move this topic to the Xantia section.
