Hi, I have a 54 plate citreon xsara picasso 2l diesel car..

The problem is that the right hand side digital display (the clock, temp etc) is really dim, the other side is fine. I am guessing there is some little bulb behind there which is dead.... Can anyone tell me how I get to it, how do I remove dash to get to it, or any other what it could be??

Thanks

This is from the Haynes manual:

1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal (I am not sure if this is really needed)

2. Using a small screwdriver, carefully release the panel surround from the retaining clips on each side, then remove the surround from the instrument panel. The photos show the screwdriver being inserted behind the end of the surround to lever it out from the clips. A bit of card against the screwdriver may avoid damaging the dash.

3. Undo the screw located at each end of the panel and withdraw the panel from the fascia.

4. Disconnect the wiring connectors and remove the panel from the fascia - this may not be needed to just replace the failed bulbs which can be removed by twisting with long nosed pliers and then pulling out of the bulb holders. It does not give the size or wattage of the bulbs so you may need to remove one to find out.
