Airbag Help

Hi Guys and thanks for allowing me to join the forum.

 

I have just taken over a nice C8 but have an airbag fault and a sensor fault.

 

Read Codes

0704               Permanent fault

Communication fault with the rain sensor

0E20               Permanent fault

Please refer to vehicle service manual!

 

Read Codes

P1690               Permanent fault

LH side and LH side curtain airbag igniters in series Short circuit to earth

P2A90               Temporary fault

LH side and LH side curtain airbag igniters in series Short-circuit

P206F               Temporary fault

 

 

Is it difficult to repair without costing a fortune.

Welcome to the forum.

 

Maybe there is a problem with the left hand curtain air bag and it needs replacing or it could be a wiring problem. The rain sensor might be the sensor or a wiring problem, you could check its wiring and connections - the sensor should be on the inside of the windscreen near the top middle.
