Hello everyone, here is my first post.

I have an 07 1.6HDI dispatch, it has split a steel injector pipe.

It looks a nightmare job to get to the end against the bulkhead.

I have removed the air filter box and I still can not see the fuel rail end of the pipe.

Could you please tell me if I have to remove the engine to do this.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Citroen's procedures for a Dispatch 3 1.6 hdi do not need the engine removing but the egr cooler needs moving out of the way as follows:

N.B. : Use a mirror to carry out the operations mentioned below (if necessary).
Remove and move aside the exhaust gas recycling heat exchanger (Without opening the cooling system).
Remove the support (20).
Slacken the unions (21) on the fuel high pressure common injection rail.

Thanks Paul. Could you please tell me what the 20 and 21 in the brackets refer to.Is this a microfiche.

The numbers are the item numbers in the pictures in the procedures. 21 are the pipe connections on the fuel rail and 20 looks to be a bracket that holds something above the fuel rail. If you want a workshop manual the Citroen service box has Citroen's procedures and parts diagrams and wiring diagrams, it comes on 3 dvds to install on your computer and can be obtained through ebay. Unfortunately the pictures do not copy and need the dvd in the computer to see them. As an example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-Service-Box-1-2014-TIS-EPC-WDS-/381321373493 . You can also get downloads but really need a fast internet connection for this.
