shapeshifter Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 can anybody explain why my good old faithful Maxiscan MS300 code reader will not work on a citroen c5?.This is the first time it has not been able to connect with a vehicle computer, everyother vehicle i have tried it onit has always worked, yet it just wont connect to my citroen c5,all i get is "Link Error".The car is a 2003 model c5 110hp diesel estate, which i aquired recently,lt has 178000 miles on the clock runs well apart from "Anti pollution fault" has been abused somewhat but goes quite well.Any advice or assistance will be gratefully accepted. <_< Quote
paul.h Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Welcome to the forum. Diesels were not required to be OBD compliant until 2004 and the C5 seems to be a car that does not work on all code readers. You may need to use a Citroen specific reader such as the Lexia used by dealers but cheap Chinese copies can be bought to install on a pc. Also look in the car handbook for the fuses in case one for the 16 pin socket is missing. Quote
shapeshifter Posted October 28, 2016 Author Posted October 28, 2016 Thanks Paul,I have been through the fuse boxes, and checked all the fuses i can find, without it making any difference. So i guess i will just have to invest in a Lexia.i will let you all know how i get on.-To Be Continued Quote
