Robbocop33 Posted October 30, 2016 Author Posted October 30, 2016 Ok,uninstalled and re-installed software and now im getting as far as having it connected to car, chosing Citroen, then c5,then putting in vin number and rpo?Rpo is one of two numbers on the A post pillar,i've tried both!It 'seems' to take these then on screen i get the option 'Lexia' or 'scantool',i press either and it just recycles back to the same screen,Lexia or scantool?Anyone and ideas?Incidentally there's a really good, straight instruction guide on youtube by a diagnostics company, worked a treat. However he mentions nothing of updating it?Maybe last step does this, where it says 'robbed'and says internet update. Robbocop33 Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 I setup a virtual drive yesterday and installed official version of windows xp on it,i installed lexia(took an eternity) and eh?it simply vanished! ;-)The diagbox installation i done went ok,until i actually tried to use it!it accepted my vin,rpo number etc but when i pressed on lexia tab(or scantool)neither would open up,it just returned to the lexia-scantool screen.I'm starting to get a sinking feeling about this and starting to blame the car socket itself? As i've tried with the diagbox,my local garage kindly tried to use their software also but it wouldn't connect/talk with the ecu and open up the software.I'm going to yet another garage today who have specialised in French cars for years,so i'm guessing here his hair should be quite grey, and he'll be quite withdrawn and pale looking! ;-) Quote

Robbocop33 Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 Got it!!Never found anywhere online that went as far as saying every single stage to go through to find the page to disable the tyre pressure sensors, never mibd the fact once you do find it you then need an access code to disable it??Just riad tested car and no warnings/beeping about puntres, sensirs missing,i'm so chuffed!!Particularly as i was under a bit of pressure as i was booked in thus comung Thursday to pay about 70 quid to get it done, and ofcourse they said my machine wouldn't do it and it was quite difficult/involved to do?? ;-)Don't know if my emails available on this site for people if they have any questions about installing it,or using the software.Better to pester me and maybe get answers on a one to one basis than posting on a forum and the thread fades away and you're stuck! ;-) Quote
paul.h Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Well done, I suspect the difficulty in getting the Lexia working puts people off getting one. I will link this topic to the Lexia one since it may help others. Our C4 has tyre pressure warnings and a while back we had a puncture so it gave the warning. However when the tyre was repaired and put back the warning did not go until the car was driven so possibly it is a system on this car that uses the abs sensors to detect a different wheel speed. Robbocop33 Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 I think the two main things that held me up was this determination to try and get it working in anything else but xp,if you're going down the trying to get Windows 10 or anything in a windows 7 or xp mode, forget it!Bite the bullet and download virtualbox (its free) if you're running anything after Xp.Then install a copy of windows xp in this virtual box, easy instructions all over for doing this, and making virtual box import the use of your dvd,usb connection etc.Next thing folks might disagree with, forget diagbox, just install Lexia 3 on your new windows xp install, then upgrade it with the 'one' update on your Lexia cd.Next potential pitfall is the keygen part,on 'my' cd it just had Lexia 345 then update was 347.In the keygen type in exactly Lexia-347,when you click option 'manual activation'(or whatever it was) its the top option anyway, that's where all the stuff is you type into your keygen which is on the cd(you have this running at same time)the long number your keygen produces after you have typed in details from the activation page could be the next hitch that might catch you out after a successfull install, type it in without the hyphens/minus signs) is where Next hitch is when you are asked for the vin number and rpo for your car, vin, pretty straightforward(v5 document or plate under rear left seat(mk1 c5).People might get stumped by the RPO.It's on your driver side A post the front door hinges are on(tyre pressures there too).I heard all sorts about these numbers,my number was 09573,you only need the '9573' part.I found first few times i opened it up with ignition on etc ready to go it wouldn't come up with the car choice screen,a fault would come up saying card can't be read,or some other warning?Just close everything down and start things up again, eventually it will open up ok.One other thing ,when you install windows in virtual box right click on the small xp screen in your virtual box and find in there the option to change resolution up to the next one,1024x whatever it is,if you don't do this you'll have a tiny windows xp and a larger lexia screen you can all see properly, once resolution is changed maximise screens at top right if your xp screen. Now as you can tell,i haven't taken much time to describe this in a sequential manner, just the order my stumbling points popped into my head while typing this.My email is lrobertson58@sky.com if anyone wants any guidance. Robbocop33 Posted November 6, 2016 Author Posted November 6, 2016 Sorry about the typing errors in my above post, sometimes when i type things on my phone and i look back at what i've typed, and think what the hell is that gibberish! ;-)Hopefully typis aren't too confusing. Quote
paul.h Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 I have quickly edited where I think you got the wrong letters/key, it made sense without this though so no need to worry about it. It is better to have a post with the odd typing error than no post at all. Quote
