Welcome to th eforum.

 

The parts diagrams show at the engine side of the battery, low down there is a clip held by a nut that holds the battery in place. Remove the nut and clip and the battery should be able to be removed. Do not be too quick to disconnect the battery though since you need to give the bsi time to shut down or you may get some odd electrical problems - in the C5 Technical section there is a procedure you can follow in the pinned Common Problems topic.
