KILLERPARSNIP Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Hello All, I am the new owner of a 2003 Citreon Berlingo multi space car. Not long after having it I noticed a noise from the right of the vehicle, on inspection I found it to be the drivers side head lamp which was I guess trying to adjust itself. Is there a quick solution to this a fuse to pull or a wire to cut ? Many thanks all. Quote
Rookie2 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 HiI dont believe your vehicle has self levelling suspension, though it is possible. It could however have Halogen headlights and possible the ballast resistor for the headlight is faulty. In the eent that you do have self levelling suspension then look for the levelling switch located on the chassis at the front of vehicle below where the drivers feet would be. Quote
paul.h Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 If you do not have halogen headlights, if the headlights are shining at a wall, are both light patterns moving up and down or just one, or neither but you can still hear the noise ? On the dash is there a head light height adjuster switch - if so and if it is used do both headlights adjust up and down ? Cutting a wire or removing a fuse is probably not the right way to fix it since the height adjuster really needs to work for the MOT. Quote
KILLERPARSNIP Posted February 23, 2017 Author Posted February 23, 2017 Thanks for the reply PaulH,It is only the front drivers side headlight which is trying to adjust but not actually moving, If I try to adjust from the adjuster in the car the left light moves but not the one making the noise/vibrating.I have tried the adjuster on the dash in all positions but this still occurs. Cheers for your help. Quote
paul.h Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Possibly there is a problem with the motor or its connection to the reflector. You can get a new motor, possibly part no. 6224A9 or 6224C0 depending on your car VIN. Quote
