col_hf Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 can some one tell me the correct front brake pads for my 2009 C4 grand picasso, I have visited ebay and the prices and pictures vary so much Quote
Rookie2 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 It would be hard to do unless someone has exactly the same model as yours. Usually I would just ring a local car parts depot such as "Motor Parts Direct" nor any other such establishment. They will ask for your registration number and then give you a price to supply them. There is no obligation to buy and you can ask them for the part number. Alternatively you could PM me your reg and I will get you a price and part number cheers Quote

paul.h Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 I would be careful buying through ebay, make sure you use a recognised supplier and definately not chinese copies. Years ago I stopped buying copy brake pads having found they do not always work (stop) as well as ones from a dealer. The dealer ones may cost more but are the right parts for the car and you probably only change them once in the life of the car. If the pads need replacing then the discs may also be due for replacement - check the thickness to see if they are down to the minimum. They are an even mm thickness when new and the min is 2 mm less than when new. The new thickness depends on the model/engine so without this info I can not look up the value but when measuring with your micrometer, if they are a bit more than an even mm, they are probably due for replacement.
