buskerboy20 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Hi there can anyone let me know what make and model of changer fits in the passenger side panel in the tourer's boot.My previous changer Clarion CAA-397 from my previous tourer which was located under the drivers seat does not fit the new bracket fitting and wiring connectors in the side panel. Arnold Clark Citroen were unable to provide any info as to what would have been avail in 2011 to fit this car,so anyone with a similar tourer with a multi changer out there with any information or guidance would be gratefully appreciated. paul.h Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Welcome to the forum. The Citroen parts diagrams list 2 choices for the cd changer in the boot, 6564QK for one that needs configuring and 6564QL for one already configured to the vehicle VIN. It gives the Clarion part no. as 9663425180. I am surprised your dealer could not give you this. You can then use these parts nos. to search on such as ebay. There is also a topic here that may be of interest http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/topic/20334-configure-cd-changer-locally-dursleygloucesterbristol-area/ Quote
buskerboy20 Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 Hi there Paul thanks for your reply, I've been at 3 dealers and they have been no joy,I contacted Citroen UK and after 4 e-mails the only answer I got was 6564QK was the changer for my car but when I re-contacted the dealers the part no is a citroen part no but they have no information, another blank.I have a weird plastic bracket in the left hand side panel in the boot and a similar type plug for the changer but it has 18 pins as opposed to my existing changers plug which has 12 pins(8 are used)I contacted clarion but they have no idea which one citroen might have used and 6564QK does not ring any of their bells.I don't even know if the head unit is capable of operating a changer, all be it there appears to be wiring in the boot for one.As you can tell I am new to all this and you mention in your previous reply about getting info free from the citroen service box, could you enlighten me as where to find this and access it, as it might be a help. Thanks again. John. Quote
paul.h Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 You can see the parts diagrams as a free service if you register as an other professional non emergency services and as a member of the Citroen Owners Club http://service.citroen.com/do/changerParametres You might need to select your language first. Once on the site use your car VIN (VIS) top left to find your car. The radio etc will be under Electrics and then is among the lower items. You can also look at the Characteristics in the left column to find details of your car. Citroens workshop procedures/parts diagrams/wiring diagrams can be found on the Citroen service box which comes on 3 dvds and can be obtained through ebay. The latest ones seem to be 2014 so probably dealers only use on-line versions now. As an example http://www.ebay.com/itm/Citroen-Service-Box-1-2014-TIS-EPC-WDS-/251930181500 A search on the Clarion part no. gives this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-PEUGEOT-407-CLARION-6-DISC-CD-CHANGER-9663425180-/321995601649 Quote
