Hi All

I've recently purchased some LEDs to replace the indicator bulbs on the rear of our 2014 C3.

Strangely, they work fine on the right hand cluster, but when the same LED is placed in the rear left cluster, the car begins flashing the indicators very quickly, indicating a fault. I don't understand why it's only the left side that gives this fault whereas the same bulb will work perfectly on the drivers (right) side.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Rookie2

Yeah they are. Stupid thing is, they all work perfectly in th DS5, no bulb errors or anything. Put them in the C3, they work on the rear drivers side but not at all on the rear passenger side? No idea what's going on ...

Only thing I can think of that could help is to check the bulb holder, the wiring connector and the earth point are all in good condition and clean without any corrosion.

Just a question, how do you find the 1.2 litre 3 cylinder engine in the C3, is it powerful enough, any problems with it ? It seems to be the only petrol engine Citroen use now but have a few higher power options including adding a turbo.

Hi Paul

I cleaned the bulb holder with a dremel sanding tool, no difference. The front indicators aren't having it at all, the bulbs I bought were supposed to have the appropriate resistance in them, quite disappointed.

The C3 1.2 82bhp is awesome, it's such a nippy little car with amazing fuel returns .... round town, and not driving economically and can return 45mpg with ease. We had the brand new C3 1.2 82 on loan the other week as ours went in for a service, and that seemed faster than ours ... I have driven a lot of cars in my time, and I tell you that is the most fun I've had in a small car. Wonderful engine and wonderful car. I wouldn't see the need to go for the turbo model but it depends on what you are used to ... I had a 235bhp Alfa Romeo Giulietta, and I seriously think the new C3 was more fun to drive!
