lynne Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Having recently had new tyres fitted we noticed a substancial amount of suspension fluid on floor. We now find we have loud metallic noise at back of car, could this be problem. Had checked for baring and not that Quote
paul.h Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Welcome to the forum. What year is your car ? Did the garage raise the suspension to max height first before jacking it up/ raising it on a ramp ? If not suspension problems can occur. I do not know what you mean by 'baring'. Is the leak at the front or rear of the car and which side ? Can you see where the fluid is leaking from ? On the front struts there are hoses that can come off. If your car is the 2008 on model then the suspension fluid tank cap should be slackened before the wheels are left hanging free and not done back up until the car is on the ground again. If not done the tank can split and obviously leak. This may not be well known outside of Citroen but is in their workshop procedures. If you do not do your own maintenance then I would take it to a Citroen dealer to be fixed since most jobs on the suspension take less than 1 hour so you can not save much on labour charges by going elsewhere.
