Mornin all, can anyone confirm the capacity of the fuel tank, on 2011 C4 picasso VTR+. the Book says 60 litres, but when the"fuel too low"shows on the display, I am unable to get more than 9 or so litres in the tank, which seems to me to indicate that there is still enough fuel left for about 75/80 miles left in the tank.(Wouldn't run it down that far obviously)) Thanks  Whatsup          Whatsup

Not sure I have understood your post. You are saying at a low tank level you get a message but then you fill the tank back up but can only get about 9 litres in. If so then there must be a problem with the level gauge. To replace the level gauge needs the tank lowering.

On the parts diagrams there are a few different fuel tanks depending on the rpo and which engine is installed and whether petrol or diesel. The diagrams though do not give the tank size.

I don't know whether you can do so on the C4 but on my C5 I can set up a display to show miles covered, MPG and range (in miles) left in the tank.

If you fill the tank then Zero the readings you should be able to see the MPG, how far you've driven and the estimated range when the Low Fuel warning comes up.

The trip computer on our C3, C4 and C5 all work the same. Push the button on the end of the wiper stalk to see the various displays. Note the estimated range is based on the current driving conditions and changes quickly so may not be that accurate.

A quick look in the C4 Picasso handbook gives the fuel tank as approximately 60 litres with the low level message starting at about 7 litres remaining. It does not say how accurate the approximate is though.

Or, to put it another way, your tank holds just over 13 gals and, at 50mpg, a tank full should do about 650 miles, with the warning coming up when you have about 1.5 gals left.
