Hydroactive Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I have an issue with my climate control system :( the passenger side temperature control dial has stopped working and is stuck at 21degrees The driver-side is working correctly and all of the other buttons are working normally, not sure why this has happened unless it has genuinely just packed in :/ have performed a BSI reset using the correct process just in case it was a technical gremlin but it has not solved the problem, is 2012 C5 exclusive tourer. Anyone experience similar fault to solution ? Cheers Quote
paul.h Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Not had this but as a temporary fix you should be able to set it so both sides are altered by using one control dial - at least I can on our 2007 C5. Quote
Hydroactive Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 Seems that you can't have it to be controlled by one knob, nothing in manual or any of the menus, at least it is stuck on 21.5 degrees and not hi or lo, might look at seeing if I can source a salvaged unit to replace it :/ Quote
paul.h Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 In the handbook for our C5 it gives under the CLIM button section which gives access to the air con controls as well as going through the multi function display:---------------------------------------To deactivate/activate the differentiated air conditioning adjustment for the driver's side / passenger's side. After a selection using the arrow controls, press 'OK', or on the control, to validate your modification of the activated/deactivated status of the differentiated dual-zone air conditioning.Activation of the function renders the adjustments on the passenger's side identical to those chosen by the driver.Note: Any manual action on control 1b or 4b will return the adjustments to independent mode. (1b is the passenger temp control, 4 is the fan speed control so 4b may be a misprint)----------------------------------------------------Looking in a handbook for your car, it seems you do not have a CLIM button and your temp controls are dials rather than press buttons but you could try pressing on one of these or the large OK button to see if it does anything after you alter the temp on the driver's side. charlesmachmer Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 C5 1.6 Tourer (2010). My 'dial is also stuck at 21 - same side as the photo, right hand / side control know - which is the drivers side (in uk). I also do not think that the numbers correspond to degrees - but the issue for me lately has been having to put up with one side set to Hi (max - the one above 28) to compensate for the cooler air being vented on the drivers side. Have had to close all vents on drivers side and having to rely on the passenger side to heat entire car - In Scotland, winter temperatures have been below freezing most days these past 2 months (-5 or -7 is usual). Also causing issues with steaming windows / fogging due to only half the system working. Nothing seems to work - local Citroen dealer is unhelpful / clueless / not bothered. Has anyone any idea what is going on here ? Quote
paul.h Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Hydroactive was last on here November 26th so might have fixed their car by now, I will send a message to see what is happening. Quote
Hydroactive Posted April 7, 2018 Author Posted April 7, 2018 Sorry for the delay but update on this topic is that I never managed to resolve the issue and now sadly no longer own the car Quote
