Petrolhead Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Hi Guys, anyone know the "trick" to extract the fuel filter from my Xsara 2002 1.6lt hatchback, without breaking the plastic strap that holds it on to the side of the tank?My dilemma:The Haynes workshop manual is so vague and the illustration they supply looks nothing like the cavity that surrounds my filter. Our local Citroen dealer (Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Aus) has no diagram on his data base of it either.Hope to hear from the forum soon. Thanks and cheers,Petrolhead. Quote
paul.h Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 The strap Citroen part number should be 1565F5 and a search comes up with this picture which may give a clue how to remove the filter. It looks to haveĀ a pin that stops the filter sliding out of the plastic clamp http://www.vatera.hu/citroen-cso-tarto-kengyel-1565-f5-2589565610.html?bannersource=kerdesek Quote
