sifaan Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Hi When buying LDS, is it recommended to stick to Total?I see there are several other brands offering LDS on ebay - e.g. Mannol, Kerex, Syntex - which are about 20% cheaper than Total. I don't mind to pay extra if the Total LDS is of better quality, but otherwise I don't like to pay extra just for the name. Thanks/Sifaan Quote
paul.h Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 In the UK a litre of Total LDS is only about £10 and I have only had to use some after doing work on the suspension. For the sake of maybe a £2 saving I would not even entertain using anything different with the risk of it not being compatible with the seals. I think LDS stands for something like liquid suspension direction but to compare different makes you would need to look at the specifications of them all and make sure they meet the relevant Citroen specification. sifaan Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 Thanks Paul... the other suppliers also claim to meet the PSA spec (PSA S71 2710) but I don't know if that's a legitimate claim or not :( Quote
