Graham Beech
The car sometimes won't start, it turns over but will not start. Other times it starts fine but then you can be going down the road and it will stop. I took it to a citroen dealer and they couldn't find a fault after three days. I haven't got much faith that they did anything.
paul.h
What year is the car, which engine and how many miles ? When it will not start, if you leave the key in the ignition and then open the driver's door is a warning message given. If so the car immobiliser is recognising the key, if not then it gives something that can be checked. Is it worse when the engine is warm, if so this suggests there might be a fault with the crank shaft sensor. When these are failing they might cause the engine to cut out when warm but once cold let it start again but eventually will not let the engine start. They are not expensive and it could be worth replacing. When they do fail a fault code is not given so would not necessarily show a problem on a diagnostic but when trying to start it might not show the engine rpm when the engine is turned over but will not start.
