Sean B
I have recently purchase a 2nd hand Citroen C4 mk2 HDI VTR+ 2013 and only received a single manual key with it. I am looking to purchase a new electronic key fob but I have no key code or any information about the key or locking mechanism. Where is the best place to get a price for a new key? I live in Cheltenham so somewhere close would be helpful.
paul.h
You may need to go to a Citroen dealer with the car VIN and proof of ownership and take the car. They should be able to order a new key/remote with the immobiliser chip/key blade to match your car. It could be expensive though in the £100 to £200 region. Once they have the new remote it will need to be initialised to your car (see the handbook it is the same as replacing the battery in the remote). I would be a bit wary of the previous owner still having the original remote.
