WHEN I FIRST START THE CAR ARRANGE SERVICE APPEARS ON THE DISPLAY AND THE SPANNER SYMBOL IS ALWAYS VISIBLE,JUST HAD AN MOT SO HOW DO I GET RID OF THE SPANNER SYMBOL AND ARRANGE SERVICE MESSAGE,SORRY IF THIS IS A BIT OF A SILLY ONE BUT I HAVNT S CLUE

Try this. Hold down the black button near the mileometer then turn on the ignition. Continue to hold the button and the digits will count down to the correct figure to match the service interval.

Just had an MOT?......did you get it serviced aswell?

 

The display will flash the spanned when the service is due eiter on age or mileage, any one servicing the vehicle should have reset it for you.

The button you press is to the right of the 7 on the rev counter. Hold it in, switch on the ignition and wait for it to count down to the service interval mileage.

NOTE TO GILDERDALE. Having an MOT has no effect the service interval. Change the oil and filter, put in a new fuel filter, put in a new air filter, change the cabin filter, look at the brake pads - then get rid of the spanner.

press the button on the bottom left ...the one with the 000 on.

 

 

got it now m8 cheers. i was holding it in then turning on the engine. but if i held it in and just turned the key untill all the dash lit up i seen it counting down.

 

now when i turn the engine on the spanner still flashes up ,but dissapears after 2 seconds. is that normal?
