Woz Posted July 21, 2007 Author Posted July 21, 2007 Hi Ianreplaced radio stalk and the original fault has gone away and the new stalk works with no eco mode :( paid 99p on ebay for the key blip re-code sync thingy info and it worked first time. the method is as follows- turn ignition on but do not start car. Press lock button for 10 seconds then release. turn ignition off and remove key. Wait 3 seconds then operate blip. every thing works, all is wonderfull with the world the birds start singing and the sun comes out! Ok I may be exaggerating a bit but that method worked, so one to remember for all us Citroen owners because this is sopposed to work on many Citroens. I can't believe the dealer said it would take 30 mins and charge £32.90 + Vat for somthing that took me 30 seconds and the average chimp could carry out. Thanks to all who helped with info and special thanks to iannez who has helped me from the start and kept coming back with more usefull info. all I can say is it has been emotional ;) Quote
paul.h Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Pleased you got it sorted and was only £13.99 in the end. I think we all learned alot as well. Quote
myglaren Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 No advice to offer I'm afraid, just a related question. The 12V sockets for additional equipment, behind the gearstick and in the boot. Are they also controlled by the Economy Mode shutdown process. I often recharge my camera batteries in the car but this is usually very quick, twenty minutes or so, but if one were to install a fridge, the damn thing would be no use if it shut down after about an hour in hot weather.
