Following a service at an independent Citroen "specialist" my external temperature gauge thinks its on holiday in the Bahamas, its reading 35-42 degrees! There is no sign of damage to the wing mirror where I have been told the sensor is and its set for centigrade.

Look closely at the lower edge of the nearside mirror. The small raised bump is the sender. They are replaceable by removing the mirror glass.

Hi to all! I have the same problem with my gauge. The Gauge is reading from +35C to +42C degrees. I tried to heat the gauge and the temperature goes up to +62C degrees.

If somebody have similar problems, please don't hesitate to write a message :D

Is there a way to calibrate the gauge?

How do you remove the glass without breaking it ?

I haven't tried removing the glass, but looking in my 'French Haynes', it seems that if you 'fish' behind the bottom left corner of the mirror, there's a large circlip surrounding a number of lugs. Maybe if you open the circlip, the mirror is released.

Hi,

Thanks for the info - my outside temp gauge has started playing up too. Is it an easy job to fix this and how much would it cost?
