Guest fatman Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 2002 Citroen C5 2.2 HDI Automatic. Anyone please have knowledge or information on the following in relation to above vehicle. At times approx once per week after garaging and locking car, the next morning the suspension has been down to minimum height. On inserting ignition key and turning on the car has reverted to its original position. Should the car remain in the original position at all times or should it go down to minimum height on switching off ignition which is the correct position? Many thanks for any information. JL Quote

JL C5s and late model Xantias shouldn't sink, not overnight anyway. Mine never has and none of the others I have seen parked overnight do.Mine whirrs a bit when it is unlocked in a morning after standing overnight and sometimes lifts a few millimetres but nothing overt. My guess would be a defect in the anti-sink mechanism. Quote

Are these type of repairs very costly ? Thanks JL Quote

For a C5, haven't a clue I'm afraid, only had mine since Easter and have had niggles but no real concerns up to now. Quote
