C5 Estate - Any Major Common Problems?

Ok looking to change my Xzara for a C5 (most likely the estate), are there any major draw backs/common probs I should look out for when buying 2nd hand? Any info/insight greatly appreciated!

A scan of the pages on the C5 section should help, plus this would be a better place for your post to obtain more replies. One thing to watch for is if it is due or needs the exhaust particle filter replacement/eolys fluid top up on a mark 1 2.2 hdi or mark 2 diesels - the cost will be around £400 - 500. Approx mileage for this depends on the model year but could be 70k.

look for poor rear brake performance. signs are usually corroded rear disc. check for fluid leaks from front. suspension pipes sometimes split. particle filter is due at either 50k or 75k depending on build date. need more info on engine etc before i can comment further
