Help .My electric window has stoped working. After examination i find that the drive cable has snapped.I understand that this is a common fault. Can the cable be changed, if so were can I get a new cable and fitting instructions?

Also the plastic block that the cables hook into (slides up and down the regulator) crack and the cables pull out. I managed to repair mine with cable ties as a temporary repair.

I haven't found a new block yet but Citroen kindly offered to sell me a complete regulator assembly for £200 plus VAT.

Although tempted by this genrous offer I decided I will wait and see what comes out of the scrappies. That plastic block must only cost ten pence to make!

Removing the assembly and repairing it is pretty simple stuff for a competent DIYer, or, you can swear at it and smash your knuckles to bits for half an hour if you are incompetent like me.
