Hi,

Has anyone downloaded and used any diagnostic software on their Citroen?

I've downloaded Scan tool (scantool_net114win.zip) although I've not found the lead I'll need or where in the car I plug the lead in so I've not used it yet!

I was enquiring if anyone else has used any diagnostic software, and what cable is required, and where is the socket in the car etc...

My car is a C5 2.0HDI 110 on 2004 (04).

I have been told that the cable I'll need is an industry standard cable, but knowing Citroen (and the French) they'll not conform to this standard!

if your doing just engine management most hand held on ebay will work so you don't need a laptop, elm 327 hmmm im having problems with that as its designed for multi protocol but mainly aimed at the newer cars with CAN bus ( this area is a mine field ) watch the pennies

Citroen use multiplex diagnostics so many systems can be probed ABS/SRS/auto tranny,AC/TCS/ESP so just the basic wont do that

to plug car in open glove box and pull panel of for fuses and youl see ur obd connection there. if you want to use scsn tool and laptop the leads are availible on ebay under diagnostic tools.all you can do with then is read engine trouble codes and clear them. why do you want to be into obd have you got a fault.
