Guest davidlee Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 hello there,i have a Citroen Xantia hdi x reg. there are a few problems one:- the intermitent wipe on the wipers is not working although the wipers work ok on slow and fast wipe and they also self park. any ideas. two:- both the back doors do not lock or unlock with the key fob but the front doors and boot do. three:- there is a red coulered button next to the offside mirror adjusting toggle, please what is this for? I find your forum very informative and would be gratfull for any advise. I would like to add that i have owned the car since febuary and it was like this when i bought it. I am currently averaging just under 60 miles per gallon mainly by driving economically on the motorway. Quote
techbod Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 intermittent wipe has a relay behind the main fuses, red button? no idea, back doors check they are wired up if someone went in there they might not have reconnected them or the motors are bad but best way to check this is to listen if the plungers are trying to work then they just need a spray with wd40,60 mpg not bad ;) Quote

kfk Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 the red buton is probably the led for the alarm.....does it illuminate when you lock the car using the remote control? Quote
Guest davidlee Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 the red buton is probably the led for the alarm.....does it illuminate when you lock the car using the remote control?no it is about half an inch diameter and has never been lit. the car has trafficmaster but it is expired. the light in question is below the internal alarm button and one step to the left next to mirror adjuster, sorry to be a pain.
