Guest jph160 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 HI all can anyone offer any advice or comments please i purchased one of the last of the previous c5 in feb this year i have now done 4000 miles and am having some problems between 1500-2000 revs the car seems to 'kangaroo' ie change speed the rev counter moves a lot even though the accelator is constant if i accelerate over 30 its goes away seems to be when in 3rd or 4th gear or during the changingcheers jh Quote

I take it that when you say it changes speed the car feels like it has changed down a gear Quote

I take it that when you say it changes speed the car feels like it has changed down a gear hi thanks for the reply the car has only done 4500 miles from new so no new service due as yet the problem happens below 30mph and its like i am moving the acelerator also erratic gear changes in low speeds no error messages on the display Cheers JH Quote

Look at the gear position display to see if it's changing up and downOr try selecting the gears manually and see if it still happensDave Quote

Look at the gear position display to see if it's changing up and downOr try selecting the gears manually and see if it still happensDave hi thanks for the reply - the car got worse to drive contstantly "coughing" while driving and changing revs dealer had it in 2 weeks ago advised me it was a faulty exhasut gas release valve waited 2 weeks for part but they had problems fitting after 2 days with them they tell me it needed a software upgrade as well but the ECU wouldnt accept it so now a new ECU is on order with citroen sounds an expensive problem - hope it resolves the issue as i ve only done 5100 miles since new! anyone else had similar issues? have a courtesy car for now JH Quote
