pumice Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 The prospect of dropping the dash out to access the leaking heater matrix is a bit daunting. Has anyone ever done this job and if so do you have any hints (other than take it to a garage!). Are there any Citroen special tools required? Assuming it is a weeping matrix, and not a hose, how much would I reckon on paying for a new matrix. I've heard some very scary numbers! Two days about right for this job? Any advice would be greatly appreiated. Thanks guys. Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I run an 8 year old Xantia and fortunately, I haven't had to replace a matrix. Several guys have done the job and described it on Andyspares forum. You're right - the dash has to come out and it's probably a two day job. Cost for parts isn't too bad because you can get a replacement Valeo matrix from GSF or Eurospares car spares for less than £40. Quote
