kc123 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Am I right in thinking that the mirrors are supposed to fold in automatically for parking, using the same twiddler as for the mirror angle adjustment? It gets a bit dreary having to do this manually every time. Quote
paul.h Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 It will depend on what model you have. The mirrors are folded manually by physically pushing them on our 1.4 sx petrol, 2003. Quote

Ah, I've probably been bamboozled by the user guide covering lots of models. Mine's a Jan 2007 1.4 petrol Desire, and I can't get the mirrors to flap no matter how hard I try. Quote
stimulator Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Basically only the top of the range model has the auto folding mirrors (crusie control too). To fold the mirrors, the wing mirror adjuster knob has to be rotated to the 6 o'clock position. HOWEVER if there is NO INDEX dot at 6 o'clock then don't try to do this. NO mark no auto fold. If you force the knob past either of the wing mirror positions you will snap it oiff and it cost £12 approx to buy a replacement. Quote
