Guest ollie Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Hi All I have one of the last C5 HDIs 1600 before the new model. At 50 - 60 mph and usually uphill (sometimes quite a slight gradient) the car starts juddering. (This does not happen in starting.) I cure this either by relaesing the clutch or sometimes accelerating out. It is an intermittent problem and test drives by the garage have shown no symptoms. Nothing shows on the computer system. No warning lights. I have tried different grades of diesel without any influence. Only other symptom is that if it judders badly the engine fan runs for up to 10 minutes once engine stopped. Any clues? I have it booked in for 25k service on THursday and would like to give them a clue or two. Has anyone else had the same issue? Thanks Quote
paul.h Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 If the engine fan comes on the engine may think it is hot - is the indicated temperature normal, coolant level ok - at a guess it may be a faulty temp sensor and giving wrong fuel mixture. Quote

Temperature guages are fine. I'll suggest that to the garage. Many thanks. Quote
