Guest THE BUS DRIVER Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I have been offered the following deal by citroen uk with regard to my cambelt failure last week. They are offering a new engine and injectors if i pay for the labour 2k.I need to let the company know tomorrow if i will agree to this, does anybody have any prior knowledge of offers received by other owners.Regards Fiona Quote
Johndouglas Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Does £2000 sounds a lot for labour? The book time to remove, exchange and refit a 2ltrHDi engine is 15 hours. Quote
techbod Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 :o 2k for labour I can buy a car for that? Quote
Guest Pam C8 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 FionaSee my thread - my local garage had a Sept 04 registered C8 in with a broken cambelt and between the garage and Citroen in Slough, the owner was offered 90% deal. I think the owner only had to pay £650. I had a mole in the camp with my local garage so can give you more details about the other owner if you want/need to contact them...just let me know. I think £2000 is a bit much to pay... we shouldnt be having to pay anything !!!!! I have a soap box... especially made for Citroen now ! Good luckPam Quote
