Guest vin Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 have read your other posting regarding the milage you realy need to change your dash cluster first as its just givn you problem after problemit is not just the dash console that has the issue. i have just changed the MAF sensor and done a diag the fault on the sensor seems to have gone but still getting a fault on the oil sensor even though the engine is upto its neck in oil. i am still getting the engine management light and the car still does not do over 2700 RPM so still in limp mode i guess... now here are my questionswhere is the oil sensor located???? is it reachable from the outside??? fatgut Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 When I changed the oil on our 2003 2.0 hdi lx I too was told by the display that you get on start up that is either -s or 0s (you know the illogical one that means the opposite to what you think it means!), that it was low on oil, but it had a full 5 litres nearly. It took a day or 2 to right itself, and I have read of this before with this car. Very Citroen. Maybe this is what is happening? Quote

My local indy tells me oil level indicators can be slightly temperamental and NEVER to over fill the engine oil. Never had any problems with same on sh*te old BX shame it's taken a step back. In truth when working an excellent idea to avoid a seized engine, if used. Quote
