Guest macw Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Can anyone tell me how to change the fuel filter on a 2.0 litre HDI, I think it has a Bosch type filter. It is located in front of the engine behind the radiator. There are three connections on top of the filter housing which I think can be removed by pressing the catches. The top of the housing is black composite with serrations around the outside and looks like it should unscrew but is very tight. Should I pop of the connections and use something like a strap wrench to unscrew to top of the housing or is there a retaining nut or catch that I need to release? Quote

Johndouglas Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 You need to remove the in and out fuel lines and also the electrical connector. As you suppose, you press down the pad to release the connectors. The outer ring isn't connected to the lid. It just holds the lid in place. Use a strap wrench to move it. After changing the filter remove the rubber ring and replace with a new one. Quote
