Guest Andrea Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 at the mo cant find warranty booklet but after going shopping and too-ing and fro-ing in and out of the back seats, my drivers seat now refuses to go back or forward with me in it, i have to get out, and let the seat back go all the way forward b4 it will move. Stuck fast. Will this be under warranty? Quote
techbod Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 yes they are because its a safety issue Quote
CE08LDB Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 The Dealer did the seat on my sisters Saxo under Warranty so they should do on your C1 Quote
kfk Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 yes they are because its a safety issue But then if you have managed to drop and wedged a 2p into the runner it wont be.........warranty covers manufacturing defects so the short answer is .......until the dealer knows what the cause of the problem is assume it will be chargeable! As an example....My engine wont start will it be under warranty?........Answer: Not untill the cause of the problem is known......so if you had put the wrong fuel in no it wouldnt be! Quote
Guest Andrea Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Thanks everyone. Turns out i'd been moving my seats back n forward using the little side handles-for moving the seat BACKs. I've only realised it should work from the bar under the seat. Stupid eh! I cant work out how i managed to move them like that in the first place, and i've had it for 4 months already! Quote
Guest Andrea Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 ps anyone else moved forward and back like this, using the side handles? Quote
techbod Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 that would explain it then, the side release is for letting someone in the rear seat only ( 3 door car ) it doesn't release the seat for the driver to set it up for driving position Quote

techbod Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 its simple really when you pull that lever it lets the seat and back go forward to give more room for the rear passenger to get in so when you put the back strait the seat can be moved while you off the seat to allow you to get in I doubt you did any damage doing it that way  Quote
Martin_1973_uk Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I would be very surprised if anyone else has made this mistake. I dread to think what else you are doing wrong on your car but it did provide some much needed entertainment. Happy driving Quote
techbod Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 new drivers do new things so nothing is obvious its like buying tooth paste and you teeth glow green because you didn't reed the wrapper ( cars are a little more complicated ) Quote
