Well the lexia software bought of ebay dosnt work with vista so dont wast your money. Even put them into the local computer shop and still no good/

Old xp lappy has now been taking down to shop along with the disc and the elm interface so they can get it up and running

simple fix for the software ( you need to set its properties to windows 2000 ) right click the icon go to properties and select compatibility then select win 2000 and run as administrator

Changing the settings didnt work either as the lexia keeps saying that it dosnt reconise the operating system so thats the end of trying vista to run it and thats from the man who owns the pc shop. Anyway the lexia software is up and running on the xp laptop as is the elm software and the elm interface . lexia wont accept the elm interface. though Mr pc man seems to think that it needs 1 of 2 things either some kind of input to say that it is a pug/cit lead that is being used or a bit of software for the lexia to acept the elm. hes been doing pc for 30 years now and says he is quietly confident that hell come up with something so stroll on monday

its all about multiplexing and software compatibility so not that easy because of the wiring on the 16 pin DLC, Citroen use all 16 but finding out which connects to what is the hardest bit

well the pc shop is still working on it. Think its going to be a loss althogh hes still posative about it

most of the pin outs are well known like 16 is live and 4 is earth which are on the net but the ones That the makers control are secret and used for testing and that's where it gets difficult and only way round that is a BRB ( break out box ) that way you can probe the pins but it could be dangerous to the ECU if you probe the wrong pin, the only other way is to use a pro BRB direct from the ECU as long as you have the pin out data
