Guest les-cumbria Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I live in a very rural area and lots of mud ect from farm vehicles at the moment, I at first thought I had picked up a stone as one wheel was squealing and the wheel was hot to the touch - not really hot but hotter than the other side, this happens mainly at low speed and goes away when braking but its been getting worse and higher pitched. Today the other wheel is starting with an intermittent low squeal. any ideas ? I have tried to give the wheels a blast with the hosepipe but havent got a high pressure hose. Quote
paul.h Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 If this is the front wheels then may be the brake pads have worn out or just seized up in the calipers so not free to move and are then binding against the discs. Either way, I would remove the front wheels to inspect the pads asap. Quote
