38capriman Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 I have a problem with my 02 reg, C5 Estate, 2.0HDi which is happening more frequently now. It happens in one of 2 ways. Whilst driving along the motorway, momentarily either every dash warning light illuminates and then goes out and the service light stays or whilst driving at night all electrical power is momentarily lost and returns, again with the service light staying illuminated. When power returns the radio and heater/air condition settings are lost. I have checked security of battery connections and eart points as best I can. Has anybody else experienced anything like this? paul.h Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 When the battery voltage goes low the service light will come on. I have had this a few times when the car has not been used for a few weeks and then started it. It goes off once the car has been run to charge the battery and then restarted.Somethings to check would be battery voltage to confirm battery is ok (about 12½ with engine off and about 14 with engine running), the fuses including the maxi ones and may be the ignition switch which if part faulty may be cutting power.
